'Mineville' Moving to Boston?
The 'Mineville' site has been updated:

MARATHON PICTURES is in talks with the Massechussetts State Film Board to bring the location shoot to the Boston area following substantial tax incentives being offered there. MINEVILLE was originally to be filmed entirely in the Adirondack Mountains, New York. It is believed that the Producers will have to decide on their location within weeks and that the wealth of Boston based crew and facilities available may clinch it.

Given that two films that were to shoot elsewhere have recently moved production to my state, Michigan, due to tax incentives, this could be likely.

Gotta love tax incentives. Wisconsin just enacted a few and hey, whaddaya know we have Johnny Depp here right now filming.

A Clint Eastwood film will be shooting somewhere in Michigan this summer. We're quite excited! :)

We've had some great films shot in Boston recently (saw Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner when they were here for Gone Baby Gone, for instance), so I'll cross my fingers! If I hear anything on the local end of things I'll be sure to let people know.

Cool!

I was just thinking last night that with Mineville I may end up posting any production updates that I come across, even if they are not directly Jamie related, because I find the process of making a film quite interesting and I'm assuming a few other would too. It would be great if the film was shot in Boston and you could provide local coverage. :)
